Data Deletion Policy

How to Delete Your Account

1. Web: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
2. Android: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
3. Email: Send a request to privacy@taptidy.app from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What Happens After Deletion

30-Day Grace Period

After you request deletion, your account is deactivated but not immediately deleted. You have 30 days to change your mind and reactivate your account by logging back in.

Permanent Deletion

After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently and irreversibly deleted. This action cannot be undone.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is permanently deleted, the following data is deleted:

• Account information: Name, email address, password, and preferences.
• Tasks and projects: All tasks, subtasks, projects, sections, and their metadata.
• Tags and filters: All tags, saved filters, and custom views.
• Timer sessions and journals: Focus session data and journal entries.
• Habits: Habit definitions and occurrence history.
• Integrations: Connected provider credentials (CalDAV, Google Calendar, Todoist).
• Shares: Shared tasks and projects (collaborators lose access).
• Captures: Email-to-task items and inbox captures.
• Notification subscriptions: Push notification and device registrations.

Export Your Data First

Before deleting your account, we recommend exporting your data. Go to Settings > Backup to download a copy of all your tasks, projects, and other data in a portable format. This allows you to keep a personal copy or import it into another service.

Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws, you have the right to request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"). Deleting your TapTidy account fulfills this right.
