Feature

A points and rewards board, kept simple on purpose.

Gamified habit apps can need more upkeep than the chores themselves: characters to level, pets to feed, quests to maintain. TapTidy's rewards board skips all of it. Chores carry a point value. Points add up. You redeem them for rewards you defined.

Set your own point values and rewards No game layer to manage Free solo board, 3 rewards

Free includes a personal rewards board (up to 3 active rewards) and a household with up to 3 members. TapTidy Pro removes the member and reward limits.

Points, not a game

Chores carry a point value you choose. There is no character to level up, no pet to keep alive, no streak system that turns a to-do list into a game.

Rewards you actually define

Movie night, extra screen time, a new board game, an ice cream date — set the reward and its point cost. The catalog is yours, not a default list.

Requests, then approval

A member requests a redemption; a household owner approves it. Points are only spent once approved, so the balance always reflects reality.

Why it helps

Motivation systems fail when they need more effort than the task they are motivating.

The apps this replaces usually go one of two ways: too bare to matter, or too elaborate to keep up with. TapTidy sits in between.

Works for one person

The personal rewards board does not require a household at all — set it up for yourself and use it exactly like a simple habit-reward tracker.

Scales to a family

Bring the household in on Pro and the same points system becomes shared: individual balances, a shared reward catalog, and an approval queue for the owner.

Pairs with the chore board

Points attach naturally to chores on the chore board, so completing assigned work is what actually earns them.

Plan fit

Solo on Free, full household economy on Pro.

The rewards board is one of the few Pro-adjacent features with a real free tier: everyone can try it, with a cap instead of a lock.

Rewards board FAQ

The questions people ask after they compare us with Habitica.

Short answer: no. Here is the longer one.

No. There are no characters, pets, battles, or daily quest systems to keep fed. TapTidy's rewards board is deliberately simple: chores carry point values, points accumulate, and you redeem them for rewards you define yourself.
